ASTAR Foundation is a non-profit organisation

ASTAR Foundation is an award-winning non-profit organization founded by the singer ASTAR. It had helped thousands of children in Senegal having the goal to give a smile to millions of children in Africa. Inspired by her mother's love for children while growing up, helping the children in need became a big mission for ASTAR. That is why she created a foundation in 2020. And thanks to this initiative, ASTAR started this mission by giving out food to hundreds of people every Ramadan and went to visit children in foster care homes, orphanages, “daaras” and villages. In August 2022, ASTAR Foundation won the “Best humanitarian structure that has the most impact on the community development of Senegal by a young person” issued by association of young entrepreneurs and leaders of Senegal.

ASTAR foundation also stands for social justice. When it’s time to speak out for her community, she will. In reference to her African roots, ASTAR released a song titled “Welcome Back to Africa” to encourage the black community worldwide to come back to the motherland, preserve our values ​​and traditions, and fight against unemployment. ASTAR is strongly involved in being a leader, especially for the African young generation. ASTAR have a strong fan base of young people that sees her as their reference. It made her work harder to succeed in her education, her career, and her family responsibilities at the same time. ASTAR did awareness speeches in front of her classmates and in front of crowds. She proves that anything can be accomplished if you work hard and believe in it. That’s why ASTAR was given the award of Future Leader of Africa by African Women Leadership on January 2020.      

ASTAR was elected as a voice bearer by the African Organization Against Excision of Women and Early Marriage in June 2019.

To ASTAR, this is just a beginning of a mission she has for the young African community.
